  Daddy Yankee receives Latino of the Year Award from
Harvard University's Presencia Latina!

Daddy Yankee is Harvard's Latino of the Year.  Presencia Latina, the student
organization presenting the award, aims to aid in the artistic expression of Latino and
Latin American culture through music, dance, poetry, and visual arts.  The night was
filled with a wide range of cultural representations which included, video, music,
dance and spoken word.  Daddy Yankee was moved to received this recognition by the
"future leaders," as he put it.
 
         
 
  Alberto Vasallo III after Revista Hispana!  

Don't miss Araminta Romero's entertaining interview with Alberto Vasallo III,
Vice-President and Editor in Chief of El Mundo Newspaper where, in the midst of a few
laughs and jokes, they discussed some of the challenges Latino media producers face
reaching the growing Latino population in New England. The interview was conducted
at the Channel 7 (WHDH) studios where Vasallo also produces and hosts Revista Hispana.
 
         
 
  Boxing or Mixed Martial Arts?  

The ring or the octagon? Boxing or Mixed Martial Arts? These are questions that are
feverishly defended by fan bases of the two sports. Boxing fans call MMA a barbaric
sport which requires little or no skill. MMA fans say boxing is boring, slow, and riddled
in corruption.

In this week's Sus Deportes on Boston Latin TV segment, GIl Matos and Cesar Doza
discuss the two sports, and the generational gap that seems to exist within the two

Boston Latino Tv on Revista Hispana on May 4th!

Tune to Channel 7, Revista Hispana at 6:00 am on May 4th to find Araminta Romero and
Digna Gerena speak with Alberto Vasallo III about the ways our program is using the internet
to leverage viewership.  

Revista Hispana has been on the air for nearly 30 years and has served as Channel 7's
Hispanic Community Affairs show.  It features guests and topics relating to the Latino
community. The show airs once a month on Sunday mornings at 6am.  The next air dates:
May 4th, June 1st, and June 29th.
