Nokona brings the first Latino Baseball Series to New
England!
The Latino Baseball Series in New England mission is to promote integration of the
Latino community to the American culture through sports passion, as well as to
encourage good health and fitness among the Latino youth population.
Gil Matos interviews co-chair: Leslie "Buddy" Lewis, Managing Director of Nokona
Athletic Goods Company, Planning Committee members, Phillip Rosenfield, North Shore
Navigators President and Josh Fink, Founder and Chief Executive Officer for Nokona
Brand Apparel about this unique cross-cultural opportunity. From July 1st to July 20th
of 2008, a Collegiate Baseball League team from Dominican Republic will play a series of
6 games against local teams.

What is it with ESPN playing FBI with Tejada?
Lying about your age. No, we're not referring to older guys who try to pick up 19 year
old girls. When Houston Astros' shortstop Miguel Tejada sat down for an interview with
ESPN E:60 Correspondent, Tom Farrey, he was confronted about a lie he told over 15
years ago.
The To Catch a Predator-style interview angered many fans and journalists alike. Was
Farrey right in confronting Tejada about his age? Or was this a desperation act on
ESPN's part to increase ratings on E:60?
In this week's Sus Deportes/Boston Latino collabortaion, Gil Matos and Cesar Doza
discuss the intentions of ESPN and Tejada.

Our Latino media partners are supporting Boston Latino Tv in our expansion phase! We
have been featured in many different media outlets that are helping us expand our
online channel!

BostonLatino.Tv does the media circuit this week!
Don't miss this week's Encuentro Latino where Evelyn Reyes and Digna Gerena are
interviews by Angel Salcedo about our upcoming 5th anniversary and the Access
Awards.
Encuentro Latino (Latin Encounter) is a weekly half-hour community affairs program
that airs on Telemundo Boston & Telemundo Providence, Friday's from 6:00- 6:30pm and
Sunday's from 10:30-11:00am. Encuentro Latino focuses on issues that are of
importance to the Latino community living in the New England area with in-studio
guests, and satellite interviews with local, national, and international leaders.
Represented in front and behind the cameras in this production were members of
several media outlets, including, Angel Salcedo (Telemundo), Yadires Nova-Salcedo
(WBZ-4), Jose Gonzalez (Sin Rodeos/Cuencavision) and Digna Gerena and Evelyn Reyes
(BostonLatino.Tv/BNN-Tv). This demonstrates how Latino media makers can work
together to promote positive portrayals of Latinos in the media.

BLTv Interviews after its own interview on Revista Hispana!
Tune to Channel 7, Revista Hispana at 6:00 am on May 4th to find Araminta Romero and
Digna Gerena speak with Alberto Vasallo III about the ways our program is using the internet
to leverage viewership.
Revista Hispana has been on the air for nearly 30 years and has served as Channel 7's
Hispanic Community Affairs show. It features guests and topics relating to the Latino
community. The show airs once a month on Sunday mornings at 6am. The next air dates:
May 4th, June 1st, and June 29th.
