SUS DEPORTES ON BLTV
Racism, social differences, Hypocrisy and cockfighting...

To some, it is a cruel bloodsport pitting two innocent animals against each other. To others, it is a competition deeply rooted in culture, passed on from generation to generation, ingrained in national psyche.

When a video surfaced on the internet featuring New York Mets pitcher Pedro Martinez and Hall of Fame pitcher/Dominican legend, Juan Marichal at a cockfight, people in the United States were appalled. How could two people of their stature, support such a sadistic sport? Some even compared them to troubled Atlanta Falcons quarterback, Michael Vick, who was arrested and sentenced to 23 months in prison for running a dogfighting operation.

In this week's Sus Deportes segment on Boston Latino TV, Gil Matos and Greg Molina discuss the touchy subjects of racism, social differences and hypocrisy.
