SUS DEPORTES ON BLTV
Can Dominican Republic Host The Largest Baseball Tournament In
The World?
In this week's Sus Deportes on BLTv's segment, Gil
Matos, Boston  Latino TV Producer and Host, and invited
host, Cesar Doza, ESPN Dream Job's finalist, discuss
Dominican  Republic's demand to be a host of 2009 World
Baseball Classic, after  president of the Dominican
Republic's baseball league said the nation will pull out of
next year's World Baseball Classic if it is not chosen as a
site.

"If they do not give us the opportunity of being a host,
like we have requested, the Dominican Republic will not
participate," league president Leonardo Matos Berrido said
at a news conference.

The tournament is jointly run by Major League Baseball
and the players' association. Both declined comment. But
BLTv sports team didn't. We present an interesting
analysis on the capabilities of DR of playing host in 2009,
while debating about what would need to be
accomplished to fulfill the needs of both, players and
public attending a world league series.

Check out our video segment online and find out what
Dayanara Torres, former Miss Universe and Juan Luis
Guerra's niece, has to do with this analysis!
