Gil is the son of Cuban father and Dominican mother. Growing up in Massachusetts with three younger brothers, he developed a strong passion for politics, news, sports and music. He attended Emerson College and received a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism. In his free time he enjoys listening to jazz, salsa and old school rap.
Gil is an independent sports writer and an sports announcer. He co-hosted Sus Deportes Radio, on 1330 AM and the new BLTv segment, Sus Deportes on Boston Latino Tv, with Greg Molina and Cesar Doza, till 2008. He currently is the Director of Recruitment at Hult International Business School.
